Edhi Foundation has added a new air ambulance to its fleet after a Piper Seneca aircraft, stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for three months due to clearance issues, arrived in Pakistan.
According to sources, the plane had been held in the UAE over regulatory formalities, which have now been resolved. With this addition, Edhi Foundation now operates three air ambulances — two Piper Seneca planes and one Cessna aircraft.
The official induction ceremony for the new aircraft was held on August 14 on Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations.
