An important alert has been issued in Faisalabad for patients suffering from allergies, anemia, and infectious diseases.
In the alert issued by the Health and Population Department, specific batches of certain medicines have been declared harmful to health and instructions have been issued for their immediate withdrawal from the market.
According to the Health Department, specific batches of Cefoperazone Sodium, Mecobalamin, and Dexamethasone have been declared dangerous for human health.
The alert stated that Cefoperazone is used as an antibiotic for the treatment of infections, while Mecobalamin is used to treat anemia, improve the nervous system, and restore energy in the body. Similarly, Dexamethasone is prescribed for patients suffering from allergies and other inflammatory diseases.
The Health Department has directed all medical stores, pharmacies, and hospitals to immediately remove the related harmful batches of these medicines from sale in order to protect citizens from potential health risks.
