Pakistan’s Information Minister has urged opposition parties to support a national “Charter of Economy” to help stabilize the country’s financial situation and ensure long-term economic growth.

Speaking during a press conference, the minister said Pakistan’s economic challenges could only be addressed through political unity and collective decision-making. He emphasized that all political parties should work together in the national interest instead of creating unnecessary conflict.

The minister also defended the proposed FY2026-27 federal budget, stating that it was prepared under difficult economic conditions while prioritizing public relief and development goals. He said the government had focused on reducing inflation, increasing revenue collection, and supporting major sectors including agriculture, industry, and information technology.

According to the minister, the budget contains several measures aimed at attracting investment, creating jobs, and strengthening the national economy. He added that political stability and consensus on economic policies are essential for improving investor confidence and achieving sustainable development in Pakistan.
