KARACHI — Investigators probing the death of young businessman Mir Raza Ali have identified “suspicious motorcyclists” near the scene where his body was found as a key new lead, sources said. Raza, an IBA graduate, left his home late on July 28 after returning from his shop, telling his family he would be back in 10 minutes. His body was later recovered from bushes in Block 1 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, bearing a gunshot wound to the chest.
Preliminary findings suggest that Raza had taken a security guard’s weapon before the incident, though neither the firearm nor any spent bullet casings have been recovered yet. CCTV footage captured him walking alone near the area at around 4:38 AM, marking his last known movements. Meanwhile, Raza’s father has alleged that his son was killed in a premeditated plot, claiming the family received threats from an international number following the tragedy. Police are continuing to analyze mobile forensics, medical reports, and statements from over 15 individuals as the investigation unfolds.
