Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) has successfully concluded the Hajj balloting for its employees (Grades 01-16) for the year 2026, selecting two staff members to perform Hajj at the university’s expense.
Through a transparent balloting process, JSMU selected two employees—one from the regular staff category and one from the contractual staff category—to undertake the pilgrimage. The chosen employees are M. Rashid from Student Affairs, JSMU, and Waheed Ahmed from IPTR, JSMU. Two more candidates from each category were chosen as waitlisted nominees: M. Nafees Khan from the Community Department, JSMU, and M. Atif from the Anatomy Department, JSMU, in case the primary selections are unable to proceed.
JSMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Amjad Siraj Memon congratulated the winners, reiterating the university’s dedication to supporting its employees’ spiritual well-being. He urged them to pray for the institution and the nation.
The eligibility criteria for the JSMU Hajj Scheme included regular or contractual employees of JSMU from BPS-1 to BPS-16 or equivalent, a minimum of five years of service as of June 2026, employment continuity until June 2026, and no prior Hajj performance.
