The 34th Syndicate meeting of JSMU was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Amjad Siraj Memon, marking an important milestone in the university’s academic, clinical, and administrative progress.

In the meeting, it was decided that an Autism Center would be established at the university, which will provide low-cost diagnosis and treatment for children with neurological and developmental disorders — reflecting a commitment to community welfare.

The Syndicate also approved the proceedings of the 32nd Syndicate meeting held on February 1, 2025, to ensure policy continuity.

Key decisions included approval of a unified summer vacation policy for regular and contract faculty, as well as approval of the budget for the fiscal year 2025–26.

To improve office operations, approval was given for the purchase of a new official vehicle, along with changes to the student transport fee structure, an increase in examiner compensation, and the approval of new SOPs to make the university’s fee system more transparent.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Amjad Siraj Memon said that from launching the Autism Center to improving policies, every step reflects the university’s progressive vision.

Registrar Dr. Azam Khan said that all these decisions were made through mutual consultation and will bring long-term benefits to faculty, students, and the community.

JSMU continues to move forward steadily in the fields of education, research, and public health.
