PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has prohibited teachers from visiting education department offices during their official duty hours.
The directive is intended to ensure that teachers remain present at their schools and continue teaching and performing assigned duties during working hours.
According to the instructions, teachers who need to visit education offices for administrative matters should do so outside their designated duty hours or through the appropriate official procedure.
The department has warned that teachers who leave schools during working hours without permission could face departmental action.
Officials said the decision is aimed at reducing unnecessary teacher absences and ensuring that students receive uninterrupted classroom instruction.
Teacher attendance has remained an important issue in efforts to improve government school performance. Authorities have increasingly focused on attendance monitoring, classroom presence and administrative accountability.
