Islamabad — Authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of mobile phones through the Khunjerab Pass, a key border crossing between Pakistan and China.
According to officials, customs and border security personnel intercepted the shipment during a routine inspection and seized the undeclared devices. An investigation has been launched to identify those involved in the smuggling attempt.
Authorities stated that efforts to curb illegal trade and strengthen border controls will continue to prevent revenue losses and ensure compliance with import regulations. Further legal action is expected following the completion of the investigation.
