LAHORE: Police have arrested a wanted burglar involved in multiple housebreaking incidents across the city and recovered stolen goods worth millions of rupees.
According to details, on the directives of DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza, the operation was carried out under the supervision of SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed. The task to apprehend the suspect was assigned to Shad Bagh Investigation Incharge, Tanzil ur Rehman.
During the operation, police recovered stolen items worth approximately Rs. 35 million, including 70 tolas of gold jewellery, artificial ornaments, six expensive wristwatches, two tablets, six LCDs, mobile phones, and burglary tools.
SSP Muhammad Naveed stated that the suspect used to survey houses during the day and targeted locked properties at night, stealing valuable items before fleeing the scene. During interrogation, the accused confessed to multiple burglary cases in different areas of Lahore.
SSP Investigation emphasized that the crackdown against criminal elements will continue without discrimination, reaffirming that protecting citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority of Lahore Police. He also lauded the performance of the Shad Bagh Investigation team, distributing commendation certificates among the officers.
