Private affiliated schools outperformed government schools in the BISE Bahawalpur 9th Class Result 2026, recording a significantly higher overall pass percentage.

According to the board’s official result gazette, 58.48% of students from private affiliated schools passed the examination, compared with 32.29% from government schools, giving private institutions a lead of 26.19 percentage points.

A total of 57,175 students from government schools appeared in the examination, with 18,459 candidates passing. In comparison, 29,215 students from private affiliated schools appeared, and 17,085 were declared successful.

The performance gap was also evident among both male and female students. Private-school boys recorded a pass percentage of 49.30%, compared with 23.68% among boys from government schools. Similarly, private-school girls achieved a 65.51% pass rate, while girls from government schools recorded 40.22%.

Girls performed better than boys in both sectors, with private-school girls recording the highest pass percentage among the major categories.

Overall, 105,601 candidates appeared in the BISE Bahawalpur SSC Part-I First Annual Examination 2026, while 40,611 students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 38.46%. The board’s result was lower than the 43.08% pass rate recorded in 2025.

The figures show that private affiliated schools dominated the 2026 Class 9 results in terms of pass percentage. However, the result statistics alone do not explain the reasons behind the performance difference, as factors such as student intake, academic resources and school conditions may also affect outcomes.
