LAHORE: The Punjab government has introduced a separate religious curriculum for non-Muslim students in schools across the province, aiming to provide inclusive and faith-based educational content aligned with students’ religious backgrounds.
According to education authorities, the new curriculum has been designed in consultation with experts and representatives of minority communities to ensure that it reflects ethical values, cultural understanding, and religious teachings relevant to non-Muslim students.
Officials stated that the initiative is part of broader education reforms focused on inclusivity, equality, and respect for diversity within the school system. The curriculum will be gradually implemented in public schools after teacher training and approval processes are completed.
Education policymakers emphasized that the move is intended to ensure that all students receive appropriate religious education in accordance with their beliefs while maintaining harmony in the academic environment.
