Punjab Plans to Cut Matric, School Syllabuses to Ease Workload

  1. Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that the provincial government is working to reduce and realign the syllabus for Grade 9 and other classes to ease the academic burden on students.

He said curriculum experts and senior teachers are reviewing the existing syllabus to make it more student-friendly. “We are aware of the extra load on students. Experts are working on reducing and realigning the curriculum,” the minister stated on social media.

No timeline or specific details about the changes were provided, but the move aims to ensure a more balanced and manageable study plan across schools.
