LAHORE: The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has announced plans to recruit monitoring officers to strengthen oversight of schools operating under its network.
The first phase of recruitment includes positions for Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, with a significant number of vacancies reserved for ex-servicemen.
The officers will conduct field visits, inspect schools and monitor educational activities to assess whether institutions are meeting required standards.
The move is aimed at strengthening accountability, attendance monitoring and administrative oversight at the grassroots level.
Selected candidates will work on contractual appointments and will receive a monthly salary of around Rs60,000, along with applicable benefits. Official motorcycles are also being provided to facilitate field monitoring and visits.
The recruitment is expected to cover multiple districts, while further positions may be introduced in later phases.
PEF has said the monitoring mechanism will help identify problems at schools and ensure that affiliated institutions maintain required educational and administrative standards.
The initiative is also expected to improve the collection of field-level information and help authorities take timely action where shortcomings are identified.
