JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has issued a severe weather alert, forecasting the continuation of hot to extremely hot conditions across major portions of the Kingdom through Saturday. According to the strategic meteorological update, extreme maximum temperatures ranging between 47°C and 49°C are expected to hit from July 20 to 25, 2026, systematically affecting key zones within the Eastern Province alongside the eastern and southern expanses of the Riyadh Region.

Simultaneously, a distinct multi-day thermal surge will push maximum temperatures up to between 46°C and 48°C from July 20 to 22 across central and western territories, specifically tracking over sections of the Makkah, Madinah, and Qassim regions. Given the highly taxing environmental conditions, the NCM has strongly advised the public, residents, and domestic travelers to closely monitor regional climate developments through its official website, dedicated mobile software application, and public social media communication channels to access real-time safety updates.
