The Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department has issued a high alert for all hospitals across the province during Muharram-ul-Haram.
According to the alert, hospitals in all districts and tehsils have been directed to assign additional duties to doctors and paramedical staff so that any emergency situation can be dealt with effectively.
Hospitals have also been instructed to maintain additional blood reserves, deploy extra staff in emergency wards, and ensure that ambulance services remain operational at all times.
The directive states that Medical Superintendents will personally remain present in hospitals during the 9th and 10th of Muharram to directly supervise the arrangements.
