The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed serious concern in its latest report over the increasing resistance to antibiotics worldwide.

‎According to the report, the excessive and incorrect use of antibiotics is leading to the emergence of bacteria that are no longer affected by common medicines.

‎This trend is known as “Superbugs,” which not only make treatment difficult but also cause millions of deaths every year.

‎The United Nations has warned that if immediate action is not taken, antibiotic-resistant infections could become the leading cause of death globally by 2050.

‎The WHO has urged countries to curb the misuse of antibiotics and improve surveillance of bacterial infections.

‎Furthermore, it called for joint investment in research for the development of new antibiotics.
