Increase in Dengue Cases in Rawalpindi

Dengue cases have further increased in Rawalpindi.

‎According to the Rawalpindi Health Department, during the year 2025, 6,132 patients were screened in Rawalpindi, out of which 215 patients were confirmed with dengue.

‎In the last 24 hours, 10 new patients have been reported, while 49 patients are under treatment in hospitals and 25 confirmed cases are present.

‎However, no death due to dengue has been reported so far in the district, while checking of more than 4.6 million houses has been completed.

‎Moreover, larvae were found in more than 106,000 houses, more than 1.2 million sites were inspected, and 15,000 positive cases were detected. A total of 121,954 dengue larvae were recovered.

‎On the other hand, strict actions are being taken against violations of SOPs. In Rawalpindi, 3,471 FIRs have been registered, 1,596 sites sealed, 3,170 challans issued, and fines amounting to Rs. 9,338,507 have been collected.

‎From Pothohar Town, cases have also been reported in Jalala, Rehmatabad, Dhamial, and Gangal, while in Rawal Town.
