Dengue cases are continuously increasing in Karachi. According to the Health Department, 23 new cases of dengue have been reported in the city during the last 7 days.
The Health Department stated that so far this year, 420 people in Karachi alone have been affected by dengue.
According to the spokesperson of the Health Department, during this year 85 cases were reported in January, 53 in February, 27 in March, 38 in April, a total of 120 in May, June and July, while 74 dengue cases were reported in August.
The statistics show that a total of 489 dengue cases have been reported across Sindh this year, out of which two patients have died.
The Health Department has advised citizens to take precautionary measures and not to ignore protective steps against mosquitoes.
