Pakistan’s young batter Mohammad Haris produced a sparkling innings against Oman in the Asia Cup 2025, helping his side secure a thumping 93-run victory in Lahore.
Haris, who walked in at No. 3, smashed a fluent 66 off 43 balls, striking seven boundaries and three towering sixes. His innings formed the backbone of Pakistan’s total of 160 for 7. In reply, Oman collapsed for just 67 in 16.4 overs, giving Pakistan an emphatic start to their Group A campaign.
Speaking after the match, Haris was quick to credit the leadership group for backing him during tough times.
> “The captain, the coaches, and the senior players stood by me when I was struggling. That support really helped me get through difficult phases,” he said.
The wicketkeeper-batter admitted that criticism has often come his way, but he chooses to take it as motivation.
> “I don’t take criticism negatively. I try to use it to improve and perform better,” Haris added.
