QUETTA – A major daylight robbery took place at a private bank located in the main market of Mastung district, Balochistan, where armed men made off with Rs1.56 million.
According to police sources, between six and eight armed suspects stormed into the bank, held the staff hostage, and looted cash from the counter before fleeing the scene. The sudden incident triggered panic and chaos in the market, forcing shopkeepers to shutter their businesses out of fear.
Heavy contingents of police and security forces reached the spot soon after the incident and cordoned off the area. Authorities have launched an investigation, stating that all aspects of the case are being examined and efforts are underway to trace and arrest the culprits.
