Under the special directives of Sindh Minister for Prisons Ali Hassan Zardari, a Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar was organized at the Karachi Women’s Jail.

‎The purpose of the seminar was to provide awareness to female prisoners and jail staff about breast cancer prevention, precautionary measures, and treatment options.

‎DIG Prisons Sheeba Shah said that under the leadership of Minister Ali Hassan Zardari, reformative and welfare initiatives are continuously being implemented in the Prisons Department to ensure better health, education, and rehabilitation opportunities for inmates.

‎Under the supervision of IG Prisons Fida Hussain Mastoi, welfare, health, and training programs for prisoners are rapidly being carried out across the province.

‎The seminar was organized in collaboration with Himmel Pharmaceuticals (Private) Limited, where experts informed female inmates about the early symptoms of cancer, timely diagnosis, and the importance of treatment.

‎Female prisoners described the seminar as a new ray of hope, stating that such initiatives not only enhance their awareness but also strengthen their self confidence.

‎The Sindh Prisons Department has once again proven that its humanitarian efforts and initiatives for the welfare and rehabilitation of inmates are significant steps toward true reform.
