Militant Confesses: Fitna al Khawarij Exploits Youth, Distorts Religion

A foreign militant has revealed alarming details about Fitna al-Khawarij, a terrorist network accused of manipulating religion to incite violence against Pakistan’s security forces. His confession, aired on PTV News and later broadcast across private channels, exposes the group’s exploitation of vulnerable youth.

In the video statement, the militant—identified as Ehsanullah, son of Abdul Janan from the Mehsud tribe—admitted working for commanders Badri, Mushtaq, Grenade, and Islamuddin for nearly three years. He claimed the group brainwashed young people to carry out attacks on police stations and even operate armoured vehicles for acts of terror.

According to the state, the term Fitna al-Khawarij refers to militants linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), particularly after the post-May 2025 conflict with India.

Ehsanullah further disclosed that several commanders used religion as a cover while engaging in unethical behaviour and pushing youth toward wrongdoing. He rejected the group’s narrative labelling the Pakistan Army as non-Muslim, adding that he personally saw soldiers offering prayers with devotion.

He said he himself learned how to pray and recite the Kalima only after distancing from the militant network. Appealing directly to the younger generation, he urged them to support the Pakistan Army and reject extremist propaganda that has already caused massive destruction across the region.

Security forces continue nationwide operations to dismantle groups inciting violence, hatred, and chaos in the name of faith. Authorities reaffirm their commitment to eliminating Fitna al-Khawarij and restoring peace.
