Bengaluru is witnessing a noticeable drop in temperatures, with cloudy skies and mild humidity marking the early arrival of winter. According to the IMD, the city will remain partly cloudy on Friday, with temperatures hovering around 28°C during the day and 18°C at night. Light sunny intervals may appear, but overall conditions will stay cool and misty.

Weather officials say that the past two weeks of intermittent rainfall have already pushed temperatures below normal levels. Mist is expected in the early morning hours, and similar conditions are likely to continue into Saturday. Winds are blowing at around 25 km/h, keeping humidity moderate at around 72%.

While Cyclone Ditwah strengthens over the southwest Bay of Bengal, Bengaluru is expected to feel only a mild impact. The city may receive moderate to heavy showers over the weekend, but the cyclone’s main effect is projected along the Tamil Nadu coast, including Chennai, Puducherry, and parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Winter is expected to fully set in by early December, with mean minimum temperatures around 16.4°C. Meanwhile, memes and social media reactions are trending online as residents joke about the sudden chill. Although Thursday morning saw light rain and fog delays affecting over 40 flights, the IMD has not issued any severe weather warnings for the city.
