KARACHI: The price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan witnessed a sharp rise on Friday, reaching Rs 447,500 per tola, according to the latest market indicators.
The per-gram rate of 24K gold climbed to Rs 38,367, while the 10-gram price reached Rs 383,670.
Meanwhile, 18K gold was recorded at Rs 335,625 per tola and Rs 28,775 per gram, reflecting increased demand in the local bullion market.
The per-ounce price of 24K gold stood at Rs 1,087,425, continuing the upward trend seen in recent weeks.
Traders attribute the surge to fluctuations in international gold prices and the strengthening of the US dollar, causing domestic gold rates to remain volatile.
