Lahore Basant: Punjab Health Department Issues High Alert to 13 Hospitals in the City

In view of Basant in Lahore, the Punjab Health Department has issued a high alert to thirteen hospitals in the city.

‎Thirteen government hospitals in Lahore will remain on high alert from February 6 to 8. All hospitals have been directed to ensure the presence of medical, nursing and paramedical staff and to make medicines, drips, vaccines and surgical equipment fully available.

‎In addition, hospitals have been ordered to arrange blood bags and prepare a list of blood donors. Beds should be reserved for Basant-related emergencies, and X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan and MRI machines must be kept functional.

‎The notification states that all hospitals must have active mobile and telephone connections, and hospital administrations have been instructed to prepare a plan and submit it immediately to the Punjab Health Department.
