New Delhi: Indian police used tear gas to disperse protesters during a march related to examination issues, as students and activists gathered to demand action over concerns linked to the country’s exam system.

The protesters were reportedly calling for greater transparency, fair examination procedures, and solutions to problems affecting students, including alleged irregularities, delays, and uncertainty surrounding recruitment and competitive exams.

Police officials said crowd-control measures were used after the demonstration became difficult to manage. Authorities urged protesters to maintain peace and follow legal procedures while expressing their concerns.

Student groups have continued to raise questions about examination processes, arguing that delays and administrative issues can negatively affect the careers and futures of millions of young people. They are demanding stronger accountability and reforms to ensure a fair system.

The protests highlight growing concerns among India’s youth over education, employment opportunities, and the pressure surrounding competitive examinations. Officials have said that discussions and corrective measures are being considered to address the concerns of students.
