KARACHI: In a shocking incident of abuse, an influential man in Gulzar-e-Hijri allegedly abducted a poor citizen, took him to his office at Faria Chowk, and subjected him to severe torture. Video footage shows the victim being humiliated, forced into a “murgha” position, and beaten.
According to reports, the victim was a business partner in a local gas shop. His co-partner allegedly conspired to end the partnership and, with the help of the influential individual, pressured him to leave the business through physical assault.
The video also shows the influential man holding a weapon, while another person filming the scene is heard requesting him not to record. Police have yet to confirm if an FIR has been registered.
