The second post-mortem report into the death of Mir Raza Ali has revealed multiple injuries on his body, casting new doubt on the circumstances surrounding his passing.

Police Surgeon Dr. Qarar Abbasi confirmed the findings Tuesday, noting that the medical board identified several blunt-force trauma marks that were not highlighted in the initial examination. The discrepancy between the two reports has already prompted investigators to widen their scope, moving beyond a simple accidental death inquiry.

The primary point of contention remains the timeline. Ali’s family has long maintained that his death was not a natural occurrence, pointing to bruises they discovered during the funeral rites. For weeks, they have lobbied for this second review, alleging that local police initially overlooked evidence to avoid a more complex investigation.

“We aren’t just looking at the cause of death anymore,” one investigator familiar with the case said. “We are looking at how these marks got there, and why they were missed the first time around.”

The medical board’s latest findings indicate that at least three of the identified injuries were sustained shortly before Ali stopped breathing. While the report stops short of declaring a homicide, the classification of these injuries as “non-accidental” serves as a major turning point for the family’s legal team.

Police officials are now under pressure to explain the lapse in the first autopsy. Sources within the department suggest that the initial examiner may face an internal inquiry for negligence, though no formal charges have been filed against the medical staff involved in the first procedure.

As the case shifts toward a potential criminal investigation, the focus now turns to the forensic lab. The board has ordered a chemical analysis of tissue samples to determine if any substances contributed to Ali’s lack of defensive response to the injuries.

The family expects to receive the full, unredacted report by the end of the week, a document that will likely determine whether the state pursues a murder charge or continues to treat the case as a suspicious death.
