Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to stand with Palestine through concrete cooperation in education, research, and innovation, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui announced on Thursday.
Speaking at the inaugural Palestine–Pakistan Rectors’ Forum titled “Higher Education and Scientific Research in Gaza: The Way Forward” at the OIC-COMSTECH Secretariat, Dr. Siddiqui said the initiative represents a vital step toward rebuilding Gaza’s academic landscape.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s support goes beyond words, focusing on “rebuilding Gaza through knowledge, peace, and progress.” The minister commended OIC-COMSTECH for uniting academic leaders from both nations to foster collaboration in higher education and research.
Highlighting COMSTECH’s continued efforts, Dr. Siddiqui praised the announcement of 5,000 fellowships for Palestinian youth, calling it a significant move to empower future scientists and innovators.
He also noted COMSTECH’s Basic Life Support and Trauma Management Course and other technical programs as tangible efforts to save lives and build skills in Gaza.
The forum is regarded as a milestone in strengthening Pakistan–Palestine academic ties and advancing shared goals of education-driven development and resilience.
