RAWALPINDI – Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first in the opening T20 International of the three-match series against South Africa at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Skipper Salman Ali Agha decided to put the visitors in to bat, hoping to take early advantage of the conditions under lights. The home side welcomed the return of key players Babar Azam and Naseem Shah, both expected to play vital roles in Pakistan’s lineup.

Speaking at the toss, Salman said his team would stay aggressive with the ball and aim to restrict South Africa to a manageable total. “We want to keep the pressure on from the start and use our strengths in the powerplay,” he remarked.

South Africa, led by Donovan Ferreira, are looking to counter Pakistan’s strong bowling attack and set a challenging target to begin the series on a winning note.
