According to foreign media reports, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated during a press conference on Friday that efforts by Donald Trump have contributed to the gradual improvement of relations between Russia and the United States.

Putin expressed great respect for President Trump and said he looks forward to meeting him.

The Russian president clarified that such a meeting would require thorough and careful preparation, but it is very likely to happen.

He further added that they are grateful to President Trump for the fact that relations between the two countries have started to improve in certain aspects.

The Russian president also noted that while not every issue has been resolved on the diplomatic front, initial steps have been taken, and progress in this direction is ongoing.
