Grandmother, Granddaughter Crushed to Death by Train in Pakpattan

PAKPATTAN – A tragic incident occurred on Thursday when a grandmother and her young granddaughter were fatally struck by a train in Pakpattan, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, the accident took place near Chak Azmat when a five-year-old girl, Insha, was playing on the railway track. As the Farid Express approached, her 60-year-old grandmother, Maryam, rushed to save her. In a heartbreaking turn, both were hit by the speeding train and died on the spot.

The bodies were later shifted to a local hospital for necessary medico-legal formalities.
