Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced a scheduled maintenance activity on one of its submarine cables to repair a faulty repeater. The maintenance will begin on October 14, 2025, at around 11 a.m. (PST) and is expected to continue for up to 18 hours.
According to PTCL’s official statement, the work is being carried out by the international cable consortium responsible for managing the undersea network. During this period, customers may experience slow internet speeds or temporary service disruptions across various regions.
PTCL has expressed regret for the inconvenience and assured customers that its technical teams are coordinating closely to ensure service restoration as quickly as possible once the maintenance work concludes.
The company emphasized that the activity is crucial to maintaining network stability and ensuring long-term connectivity reliability for users across Pakistan.
