Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the Institute of Surgical Orthopedic and Medical Rehabilitation and Children’s Hospital IV. A total of seven major hospitals comprising 1,519 beds will be constructed in phases at Nawaz Sharif Medical City.
A special meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz reviewed matters related to public private partnerships. The Institute of Surgical Orthopedic and Medical Rehabilitation and Children’s Hospital IV will be established in the Nawaz Sharif Medical District.
A Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and Burn Center, as well as the Institute of Genetic and Blood Diseases, will also be established in the Medical City. The Center of Excellence in Nursing and Midwifery, the Institute of Ophthalmology, and an Infectious Diseases Hospital will also be constructed.
Maryam Nawaz expressed satisfaction over the Punjab Public Private Partnership Authority becoming fully operational after 19 years and said that the journey of development in Punjab would continue under all circumstances.
Maryam Nawaz stated that the objective of public private partnership is to involve the private sector in the development process, adding that development projects will be completed under the vision of public private partnership.
