According to a new study, eating a small amount of mango every day can help improve heart health. The research, published in the Journal of the American Nutrition Association, showed that middle-aged women who ate 1.5 cups (about 330 grams) of mango daily for two weeks saw a clear drop in their blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Mangoes contain fiber, antioxidants, and special plant nutrients that help reduce pressure in the arteries. The study also found that mango caused less increase in blood sugar compared to white bread.

Experts say that mango is a healthy fruit, and eating it in moderation can lower the risk of heart disease. However, they also warn that eating too much of anything — even healthy food — can be harmful.
