ISLAMABAD – A tragic incident occurred in Rawalpindi’s Pirwadhai area, where a man killed his wife before taking his own life. According to police, the couple, identified as Amir and Sana—both Afghan nationals—had married just two months ago after meeting on TikTok.
Investigators revealed that the incident took place in Bangash Colony, Street No. 17, where Amir strangled his wife Sana and later hanged himself. It was Sana’s second marriage, and she had a two-year-old son from her previous union.
Preliminary inquiries suggest disputes arose after Amir failed to fulfill his promise of giving gold jewelry to his wife at the time of marriage. The couple had been living in a rented house since Amir’s arrival from abroad. Police shifted the bodies to the hospital for postmortem and confirmed that further investigation is underway.
