The 2025 final-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) examinations commenced today throughout Sindh under the watchfulness of Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE). Over 16,000 students are showing up in the exams in 92 centers that have been set up across the province. According to the official timetable, the exams shall be carried out every day between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

During the first day, the Islamic Studies were attended by Muslim students and the non-Muslim students attended Pakistan Studies. Chairman SBTE Mushaffar Ali Rajput has given strict instructions to make this fair examination environment, transparent and disciplined. As per these instructions, mobile phones have been banned rigidly and only those students who had carry admitted cards and center-change documents received permission to take the exams.

In a bid to keep a track of the proceedings of the exams, SBTE Controller of Examinations Syed Akhtar Ali Shah, spokesperson Zohaib Ahmed Khan along with other board officials conducted a surprise visit to various exam centers. The Controller met students and checked arrangements at the Aligarh Institute of Technology, Karachi. A lot of students were pleased with the general facilities and the exam environment.

The SBTE teams are not confining their check to Karachi only but are keeping a strict vigil on the centers in Sindh also. The board has again expressed the determination in maintaining the standards of the examinations and has threatened to take stringent measures in case of any incidence of cheating or misbehavior.

The exams are one of the biggest technical tests in the province and the tough control measures taken by the board this year are to regain the credibility and trust on the exam process.
