Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi met with Austrian Honorary Consul General Dr. Hussain Islam to discuss bilateral relations between Pakistan and Austria, as well as opportunities to strengthen trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Austrian artists Robert Pawlik and Ms. Michaela Rabitsch, along with other prominent personalities. Tushna Patel, Chief Executive Officer of Alhamd International Container Terminal, was also present.
The participants discussed prospects for promoting foreign investment and expanding business activities in Karachi. Governor Nihal Hashmi expressed his commitment to providing all possible support to foreign investors and business representatives interested in exploring opportunities in the city.
Speaking about the role of culture, the governor said that music has no borders and connects hearts and cultures. He said Pakistan is a diverse country with a rich blend of different religions, languages and cultures, where everyone has the right to live in peace and security.
Governor Nihal Hashmi further said that music serves as an effective means of promoting love, harmony and friendship among different nations and cultures.
Austrian Honorary Consul General Dr. Hussain Islam said that Pakistan and Austria are keen to further strengthen their trade and economic cooperation.
Austrian artist Robert Pawlik praised the hospitality of the Pakistani people and said that the country’s warm welcome and cuisine had greatly impressed him.
Ms. Michaela Rabitsch described Pakistan’s culture, the warmth of its people and its hospitality as a memorable experience, adding that she would like to visit Pakistan again.
