Imperial College London has denied a claim made by the Punjab government regarding the establishment of its campus in Pakistan.

According to the News, the university issued a clarification on its official website, rejecting statements made by Punjab’s Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb on October 18.

The clarification stated that “Imperial College London has no plans to open any campus in IT City or anywhere in Pakistan.” The university emphasized that all of its campuses are based solely within the United Kingdom.

Earlier, Maryam Aurangzeb had posted on X (formerly Twitter) that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would be inaugurating an Imperial College London campus in Lahore’s IT City. Following the college’s official denial, the minister deleted her post.
