Lahore: Anti Polio Campaign to Begin from May 18

The anti polio campaign in the city will begin from May 18, during which more than 2.2 million children will be vaccinated, and arrangements are being finalized for the campaign.

‎According to the district administration, a total of 5,825 mobile polio teams will take part in the campaign, going door to door to administer polio drops to children. The Deputy Commissioner has sought suggestions from the World Health Organization and the Health Department to make the campaign more effective, while Union Council Medical Officers have also been assigned special tasks.

‎According to officials, vaccination of more than 2.2 million children will be ensured during this anti polio campaign, which is likely to continue for 5 to 7 days.

‎It is worth mentioning that during the previous polio campaign as well, 2.2 million children were vaccinated and the set targets were fully achieved.
