Nationwide Polio Eradication Campaign to Begin on September 1st

The nationwide polio campaign will begin on September 1st, during which 28 million children in 99 districts will be administered the polio vaccine.

‎According to sources, more than 240,000 polio workers will participate in the campaign. Vaccination will also be carried out door to door in Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and Islamabad.

‎It was further stated that the risk of polio and other diseases spreading has increased in flood affected districts, and parents are urged to ensure their children receive the two drops of polio vaccine in every campaign.

‎The Polio Program stated that B-roll footage and images will be available to the media during the campaign, and media teams will also be granted field access.
