More than 300 wheelchairs have gone missing from Quetta’s Civil Hospital over the past two years, taken away by patients’ attendants who never returned them.

According to Medical Superintendent Dr. Abdul Hadi, the loss has cost the hospital over Rs. 5 million and created serious problems for other patients, according to Geo News.

He added that the hospital still holds the ID cards and documents of those who took the wheelchairs, but no one has come back to claim them. The hospital administration has since arranged new wheelchairs for patients.
