Passenger Arriving in Karachi from Saudi Arabia Shows Symptoms of Monkeypox, Shifted to Hospital

A passenger arriving on an international airline flight has shown symptoms of the monkeypox virus.

‎According to airport sources, the passenger arrived in Karachi from Saudi Arabia via a foreign airline flight, where screening for the monkeypox virus was conducted at the airport.

‎Airport sources said that during screening, the passenger was found to have fever and rashes on the body, while he also complained of having a continuous fever for the past five days.

‎According to airport sources, due to the symptoms of the monkeypox virus, the Sindh government has shifted the passenger to the Infectious Diseases Hospital in NIPA.
