Punjab Health Department Orders Establishment of Relief Camps in Flood Affected Areas ‎

The Punjab Health Department has ordered the establishment of relief camps in flood affected areas.

‎According to the notification, in view of the flood situation in various districts of Punjab, the Health Department has directed all districts to set up relief camps in the affected areas. It has been decided to deploy “Clinics on Wheels,” while medical and paramedical staff will remain on duty in the flood-hit regions 24 hours a day.

‎The department has instructed to ensure the stock of vaccines for snake and dog bites. Medicines for diseases like diarrhea, cholera, and malaria will be made available in flood-hit areas. Measures will also be taken to prevent malaria and dengue. Additionally, instructions have been issued to prevent waterborne diseases and purify water with chlorine.
