The Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) has initiated a formal investigation into the death of a patient at Darul Sehat Hospital following allegations of medical negligence raised by the patient’s family.
The commission has constituted an inquiry committee and directed the hospital administration to submit complete medical records, treatment details, and statements from the healthcare professionals involved. Inspectors will also review whether the hospital complied with established clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
SHCC officials stated that if evidence of negligence, malpractice, or violations of healthcare regulations is found during the investigation, appropriate legal and administrative action will be taken against those responsible. The commission reaffirmed its commitment to protecting patients’ rights, ensuring accountability, and maintaining quality healthcare standards across Sindh.
