The Department of Specialized Health has failed to ensure compliance with outpatient timings in teaching hospitals.

‎Four months ago, outpatient timings in teaching hospitals were set from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. However, teaching hospitals in Lahore and across Punjab did not follow the OPD timings.

‎In a letter issued to the teaching hospitals, the Department of Specialized Health admitted its failure and directed the hospitals to ensure implementation of outpatient timings.

‎According to the letter, from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday, outpatient departments will remain open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Friday, the OPDs of teaching hospitals will remain open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Teaching hospitals are not complying with the outpatient timings.
