ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has forecast rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds, and isolated hailstorms in different parts of the country from May 19 to 22.

According to the weather advisory, several districts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir are likely to receive rain accompanied by thunder and gusty winds during the forecast period.

Punjab cities, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Sialkot, and Murree, may experience scattered rainfall and thunderstorms. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain is expected in Chitral, Swat, Peshawar, Abbottabad, and nearby areas.

The advisory also stated that parts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, and Chaman, may witness rain and windstorms, while Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir are also expected to receive rainfall and thunderstorms.

NDMA has advised citizens to remain cautious during unstable weather conditions and avoid unnecessary travel in affected areas. Authorities also warned that strong winds and hailstorms could damage weak structures, electricity poles, and solar panels.
